Activon Dressings- Beneficial For Wounds

Formulated with beneficial medical grade honey properties, the Activon dressings are especially formed to heal wounds. Activon tulle dressings is a BP specification knitted viscose primary dressing saturated with a finest volume of Activon medical grade Manuka honey for an effective wound treatment. Activon Tulle produces a moist healing environment and efficiently eliminates wound odor, even though, provides antibacterial action as well. Activon Tulle is preferably chosen for granulating or shallow wounds, it is a decent choice for debriding or de-sloughing minor parts of necrotic or sloughy tissue. Activon is pure honey with no flavors which could cause an opposing reaction as well. Formed to the highest possible hygiene standards, it ensures suitability to cure the wounds. Activon Tulle creates a barrier which effectively reduce wound odor. Beneficial to the high sugar levels in the antibacterial Manuka honey, the osmotic action supports in exudation that will be drawn from the wound into the dressing, which encourages autolytic debridement.

Use of Activon Tulle Dressings
Activon Tulle or Activon Honey Dressing is conveniently placed (either side down) onto the wound surface; dressings can be set side by side in order to cover wide wound areas or cut to size. Activon Tulle can be spread-out to cover larger areas, which decreases the concentration of honey onto the wound area. The tissue type within the wound bed and the exudate level decides your choice of secondary dressing that could be a film dressing and/or bandage. For high level of exudate in wounds, an additional highly absorbent dressing can be used to help manage exudate. Wound-care.co.uk suggest the Eclypse, a super absorbent dressing pad.
